ClickZ reports that AOL has launched a big podcasting initiative that includes an original podcast called Sports Bloggers Live and a resource for podcasters called AOL Podcasting 101. I need to set up a FAQ page for the podcast, and promise to do so when time allows. These are by far the most common questions: Why can't I find your podcast in iTunes Music Store? How can I listen to your podcast in iTunes? The answer to question one is... I don't know. I've tried every avenue available to me to find out why the podcast is not listed. I tried to register it on the very day iTMS opened the podcast directory, and got a message stating that it had already been submitted. Close to two months later, it's still not up. Browsing through NPR's Podcast Directory, one in particular stood out; not for its content but for the way it was created. Most of the podcasts are simply NPR shows, but NPR: Most E-Mailed Stories is assembled based on the audience's reaction to NPR news stories. People tend to share stories they like, so in theory the best stories bubble up to the top. This podcast collects the stories from NPR's Most Emailed Stories that were aired in the past 24 hours.
